History
Our hotel`s history dates back more than 100 years and it is located in Zurich`s Langstrasse, connecting the two “Stadtkreise” (boroughs) 4 and 5. During the last few years this traditional working class neighbourhood with its rather infamous reputation (mainly due to the red-light district) has developed into Zurich`s cultural center.
Here you will experience an exciting mix of different cultures and meet people from all walks of life. There are Thai restaurants, galleries, dentists, take-aways, gyms, bookstores, bars, design-furniture shops, nightclubs, lounge-cafés, architects, artists, cinemas etc. However, what was missing (up till now) was the right kind of affordable hotel – without missing out on all the comfort - for interested visitors looking for a place to stay in our rather pricey city.
Buying the hotel in 2004 was a deliberate move to take the building out of reach of the red-light district and its milieu. After a refurbishment in summer 2006, it is now our aim to offer hotel accommodation in the liveliest part of town at moderate rates.
